Boing Boing
Boing Boing is currently featured at the top of the Technorati most favorited blogs, so this is the blog that the blogosphere loves most.
The first thing I noticed are the banners. There are a lot of banners on Boing Boing.
The Boing Boing blog is all about merchandise, may it be art, gadgets, furniture, t-shirts or fancy snowglobes. Also you can find there photos and videos about all kinds of things, from events to scarfs or sculptures.
It’s a very complex and popular blog, which I still can’t classify, so I guess I’m going to place it in the “Complex” category.
It’s about so many different things.
One of the things I didn’t like about it, except the banners, is the fact that almost all the posts are suggested by someone, and I’ve seen the same posts on other big blogs as well. So it’s poor on that chapter.
The design makes up for the content a little, being clean and pretty clear, leaving a lot of whitespace to ease the eyes. But those banners still ruin it.
