Blog Awards

February 6th, 2008 - No Responses

As blogs become more and more important, they do need ways to promote quality blogs … so we can see all kinds of awards and websites dedicated to showing and voting great blogs.

I’ll probably make a list with all these sites in the next week, and then start reviewing some of those websites … maybe some of them don’t deserve to be there.

Zirona

February 5th, 2008 - No Responses

Zirona is a blog about internet and open-source stuff.

Zirona Blog

This blog ranks around 15.000 on Technorati, which is pretty good.
I really like it’s design, it’s refreshing, it’s not hurting my eyes, it’s a good design.
It’s content is wordpress-targeted, and involves plugins and articles about servers and software.
I have no further comments to make so …

SPAM

February 4th, 2008 - No Responses

We all hate spam. It’s everywere, it’s stupid, it’s useless and it’s making our day harder (because we do have to move, mark as spam or delete the spam comments/emails received).

I’ll be looking into the best way to stop email spam and blog spam this week, and I hope to find something.

Latina Liz

Latina Liz is the blog of Liz Rios, a personal blog.

Latina Liz

Well I like the design and I don’t really like it.
The top part is nice, but the text design ruins everything.

The content is about personal stuff in Liz’s life, but didn’t manage to get my attention.
I did see some empty posts with just youtube videos.

It isn’t a very popular blog (around 750.000 on Technorati), so that’s also a poor side.

Very well then, the review

Recognizable blogs

January 31st, 2008 - No Responses

There are a lot of personal blogs. Every person has his/her unique style, which we can sometimes recognize.
A lot more recognizable are the theme-blogs (like this one), which post in about the same manner every day.

Recognizable blogs are very good for new users, which may surf a lot on the internet and stumble upon your blog one day, then forget about it, until another day they find your blog again and remember they’ve been there before (because of it’s style, writing-style).

I consider this to be a very important factor for any weblog.
